Did you know that students who miss 10% or more of the school year (that’s just 2 days a month) are considered chronically absent?
Chronic absenteeism makes it harder for students to stay on track with learning, build strong friendships, and feel connected at school.
✅ Attending school regularly helps students succeed in reading, math, and beyond.
✅ It builds confidence and keeps opportunities wide open.
✅ Most importantly—it prepares students for their future.
💡 Families, schools, and communities can work together to ensure every student is present, engaged, and thriving. Because when students show up, they grow up stronger! #ClioCares #ClioWantsYouHere #AttendanceAwareness #MakeEverydayCount

It was amazing to see students step up as leaders, sharing their coding knowledge and showing how math, technology, and creativity all come together.

Christine was born and raised right here in Clio, Michigan, and graduated from Clio High School. She earned her bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University and her master's degree from Marygrove College.
In her free time, Christine likes to read, float in the water at her cabin, and redecorate. Christine shared about her return to Clio: "I retired from teaching in Clio in 2024, after teaching 32 years, but was asked to join the Kindergarten team this year. I am honored to be at CES and can't wait to meet my new students." The theme in her class this year is "Be the Best You!" because, as she explained, "When we are at our best, we can achieve anything!"
Christine is looking forward to working with some gifted kindergarten teachers. She also finds it amazing that she gets to work with her daughter, Marisa Lamb, who serves as the At-Risk-Liaison, every day! Christine also added: "Clio has the best teachers, and I am so proud to be a Clio Alumni!"
Welcome back to the Clio Area Schools team Christine! #ThePlaceToBe
