For Reading Month, Clio Elementary School welcomed Alisha Wells, a Clio native, who had four kids go through CES (When it was Garner Elementary)! She read her book: "The Legend of the Woodcutter" and shared how reading from a young age inspired her to become a writer.

Alisha told students that many of her book ideas come from family adventures and the lessons she wants to share. She encouraged everyone to keep reading and writing every day, showing that stories can come from imagination, experiences, or even your own life.

Students left inspired and excited to explore their own stories, and reminded students that stories can come from right here in their own community!

Our second and third grade Students of the Month were honored for their hard work, kindness, and positive choices in the classroom. They continue to be great role models for their peers.

We also recognized Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Perge as our Teachers of the Month for their dedication and the impact they make in our school. They will proudly wear the Mustang Chains throughout the month.
It was a great day celebrating the people who help make Clio Elementary such a positive and supportive place to learn. Congratulations to all!
