At Clio Area Schools, every Mustang deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued. Together, we can build a school community where kindness is practiced, differences are celebrated, and everyone belongs.
mall actions matter, include someone, speak up when you see bullying, and reach out to a trusted adult when you need help. Families can help by talking with their children about kindness, respect, and how to support others, both in person and online.
Let’s stand together against bullying and stand up for each other, this month and every month.

We know plans can change! To help ensure every student gets where they need to be safely at dismissal, please communicate any end of day transportation or pick-up changes to your child’s school at least one hour before dismissal.
Our school offices need time to receive your message, communicate the change to the appropriate staff, and make sure your child receives the correct information before the busy dismissal process begins. Last minute changes increase the chance that important information may not reach everyone in time.
Please make note of the deadline for your child’s school:
Clio Early Elementary – 2:45 PM
Clio Elementary – 2:30PM
Clio Intermediate – 2:45 PM
Clio Middle School – 1:20 PM
Clio High School – 1:30 PM
Clio Community High School – 1:30 PM
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe, organized, and smooth for every Mustang! 🧡

Get ready to show your school spirit! 🎉 We encourage all students to join in the fun, participate in each day’s theme, and help make Spirit Week a great one!
We can’t wait to see your creativity and school pride all week long! 🧡🖤

Today, we recognize the signing of the U.S. Constitution and the principles that continue to shape our nation.
Constitution Day is an opportunity for our students to learn about the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, the importance of civic engagement, and the role each of us plays in our democracy.
Happy Constitution Day from Clio Area Schools! 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the strength, compassion, and unity shown in the days that followed.
May we honor their memory not only today, but through the way we serve, support, and care for one another.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸

It was wonderful to celebrate this exciting milestone alongside our students, families, staff, Board of Education, community partners, and members of the Clio community.
This building represents so much more than a renovated school, it represents an investment in our youngest Mustangs and the future of our community.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this project possible and to all who came out to celebrate with us.
What an exciting new chapter for Clio Early Elementary School and Clio Area Schools! 🧡🖤

Our school bus will enter the pick-up area at approximately 3:25 pm. To allow the bus to safely enter, load students, and depart on schedule without delays, parent pick-up will begin at 3:35 pm.
Beginning immediately, please follow these procedures:
Parents arriving for regular pick-up should remain in their vehicles until the cones are placed in front of the building at 3:35 pm.
Please do not enter the pick-up area while the bus is loading and departing.
If you need to pick up your child before 3:35 pm., please use the front entrance and follow our normal early pick-up procedure.
This adjustment is being made with the safety of all students as our top priority. Providing the bus with a clear window to safely enter and exit will help keep transportation running on schedule while also allowing parent pick-up to flow more smoothly.
We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work together to make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible for everyone.

To help ease those first-day jitters, here is a special book you can listen to with your child before bed tonight.
https://youtu.be/SJ9I9OTMtDY?si=7RK99RbhySFP_--r
Questions to ask your preschooler after listening:
• How do you think Billy felt about going to preschool?
• What are you most excited about for your first day of school?
• Is there anything about school that makes you feel a little nervous?
• What do you think you might do when you get to school?
• What would you like to play with or explore?
• Who do you think you might meet at school?
• What could you do if you start to miss Mommy, Daddy, or another grown-up?
• What is one thing you hope happens on your first day?
Most importantly, remind your child that it’s okay to feel excited, nervous, happy, or even a little scared about starting school. All of those feelings are normal!
We can’t wait to see all of our Tiny Mustangs bright and early in the morning! We’re going to have a wonderful first day!

We are so excited to welcome our youngest Mustangs to Clio Early Elementary School!

📱 Haven’t Logged Into Rooms Yet? Let’s Get You Connected!
Clio families, if you haven’t downloaded the Clio Schools App or logged into Rooms yet, now is a great time to get connected!
Rooms is our district-wide communication platform this school year and replaces ClassDojo. This is where families can stay connected with their child’s teachers and receive important classroom communication.
Getting started is easy:
1. 📲 Download or update the Clio Schools App.
Already have the app from last year? Be sure to check the App Store or Google Play Store for an update. Some families have reported that Rooms did not appear until the app was updated.
2. ⚙️ Open the app and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.
3. 🔐 Select Sign In and use your phone number or email address to log in.
4. 🏫 Once you’re signed in, select Rooms at the bottom. It should take you directly to your children’s classes.
Important: You may see “Rooms” in the app before signing in, but you must be signed in to access your child’s information.
If you haven’t gotten connected yet, please take a few minutes to download/update the app and sign in. We want to make sure every Clio family is connected and doesn’t miss important communication from their child’s school and teachers.
Once you’re connected, Rooms will make it easier to keep school communication all in one place.

Originally from Flushing, Krystal earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Rochester University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Northern Michigan University. She brings seven years of experience with the Genesee Intermediate School District and a strong passion for helping young learners build a foundation for success.
Krystal lives in Flushing with her husband, Ryan, and their three children, RJ, Ashlyn, and Madeline. When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll likely find her cheering on her children at one of their many sporting events. Above all, spending time with her family is her favorite thing to do.
Krystal is excited to bring her experience and love of early childhood education to Clio. Please join us in welcoming Krystal Allie to Clio Area Schools! We are thrilled to have her dedication, enthusiasm, and passion for our youngest learners as part of the Clio Early Elementary team.
