Rep. Dan Kildee visits with 8th graders at Carter Middle School
Congressman Dan Kildee visited with 8th grade social studies students at Carter Middle School Monday morning. The students wrote essays on government to earn the right to meet with Kildee. It is all part of a project based learning initiative in the classes of Mr. Hamilton and Mr. McLincha.
Clio Area Educational Foundation awards more than $14,000 in teacher mini-grants
Thanks to the Clio Area Educational Foundation and its supporters, students through the Clio School District will have opportunities they would not otherwise enjoy. Decision to close pool will save money, create additonal gym space
Student athletes in the Clio area will soon have another gymnasium or similar facility in which to practice and play after the board of education voted unanimously earlier this month to close the high school swimming pool. The Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Educaiton have established a statewide school violence hotline (800) 815-TIPS. It's available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
