|Clio Community High School|
The Clio Community High School is a non-traditional pathway to earning a high school diploma through a hybrid learning model that provides both on-line and on-site instruction. The Clio Community High School is open to ALL students, ages 14-19 who have not graduated from high school. There is no cost to accepted students or their parents.
Students enrolled in the Clio Community High School are required to engage in at least 30 hours of actively engaged on-line instruction each week. Of those 30 hours, a minimum of 5 hours must be completed on-site in the Community High School labs, which is currently housed at the Clio Area High School and the Clio Community Education building. Working at their own pace, students are supported by experienced and highly qualified teachers who help them achieve success and graduation.
Upon successful completion of a 90 hour (3-week) on-site induction program, students could be issued a laptop computer for their use while actively enrolled in the Clio Community Hig School program.
To apply for admission to the Clio Community High School, go to the Clio Community Education building located at 430 N. Mill St. in Clio. During the regular school year, office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the summer months, office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students who wish to apply for admission should bring their birth certificate, vaccination record, Social Security number, 2 proofs of residency (driver’s license, rent receipt, utility bill, etc.), and a copy of their high school transcript. Once enrollment forms are completed, students will be scheduled for an interview and further consideration for acceptance into the program.
